Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

RideUpright is developed and operated by Blur Boundary LLC ("Blur Boundary," "we," "us," or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains what information RideUpright collects, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.

RideUpright is designed around data minimization. The Application does not require a user account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other information intended to directly identify you as part of normal use of the Application.

Information We Collect

Rider Identifier

RideUpright generates a random rider identifier that allows us to associate limited Application statistics with an installation or rider without requiring a user account.

The rider identifier does not contain your name, email address, phone number, or other information intended to directly identify you.

We use this identifier to understand general Application usage and provide or improve RideUpright features.

Application and Ride Statistics

RideUpright may collect limited statistical information about use of the Application.

This may include information such as:

  • Total tracked distance or mileage
  • Number of motorcycles added to RideUpright
  • Number of rides or routes recorded
  • Number of services, setups, report cards, or similar records created
  • Use of particular Application features
  • Other aggregated or statistical information about Application usage

These statistics may be associated with your randomly generated rider identifier.

These statistics do not include the GPS coordinates or complete geographic path of your rides.

Location and GPS Data

RideUpright uses your device's location services for features such as ride tracking, route recording, navigation, ride statistics, and ride analysis.

Your use of Location Services does not mean that Blur Boundary automatically receives your location.

By default, GPS coordinates and recorded ride paths are processed and stored on your device and are not transmitted to or collected by Blur Boundary.

Optional Sharing of Location or Ride Data

Some RideUpright features may require information that is normally stored only on your device, including GPS coordinates, ride routes, or related ride information.

RideUpright will only transmit this information when you explicitly choose to enable or use a feature that requires sharing it.

Before such information is shared, the Application will identify what information is required or otherwise make clear that the feature requires information to be transmitted.

You are not required to use features that require sharing your GPS, route, or other locally stored information.

Information voluntarily shared for such a feature will be used to provide, operate, analyze, or improve that feature.

Other Information Stored on Your Device

RideUpright may allow you to store information relating to your motorcycles, rides, maintenance, setup, riding skills, documents, images, or other records.

Unless a feature explicitly tells you otherwise and you choose to use that feature, this information remains on your device and is not collected by Blur Boundary.

Access by RideUpright to device capabilities such as Location Services, the camera, or the photo library does not by itself mean that the information accessed is transmitted to Blur Boundary.

No User Accounts

RideUpright does not require or provide a user account as part of its normal operation.

We do not collect an email address, password, name, or other account information for normal use of RideUpright.

How We Use Information

We may use the limited information collected by RideUpright to:

  • Provide and maintain the Application
  • Operate Application features
  • Understand general Application usage
  • Measure adoption and usage of Application features
  • Diagnose technical issues
  • Improve the reliability and performance of RideUpright
  • Improve existing features
  • Develop new features
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Application

We do not use GPS routes or ride-location information for advertising.

Sale of Information

Blur Boundary does not sell your personal information, GPS information, or ride data.

We do not use RideUpright data to track you across applications or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

Service Providers

Blur Boundary may use third-party service providers to operate infrastructure or functionality required by RideUpright.

These service providers may process limited information on our behalf when necessary to provide their services.

If you explicitly use a RideUpright feature that requires information such as location or ride data to be transmitted to a service provider, that information may be processed by the provider as necessary to operate the feature.

We require service providers handling information on our behalf to use it only for the purposes for which it is provided, subject to their applicable contractual and legal obligations.

Data Retention

Anonymous or pseudonymous Application statistics may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to understand Application usage, operate RideUpright, improve the Application, and maintain its security and reliability.

Information stored only on your device remains subject to the storage and deletion controls available through RideUpright, your device, and the operating system.

For information that you explicitly choose to share with an optional feature, retention may depend on the purpose of that feature. Where appropriate, RideUpright will provide additional information regarding the handling of that data.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information transmitted to or processed by Blur Boundary.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Disclosure Required by Law

We may disclose information in our possession if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Protect the rights or property of Blur Boundary
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or misuse of the Application
  • Protect the safety of RideUpright users or others
  • Protect against legal liability

Business Transfers

If Blur Boundary is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information held by Blur Boundary may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Any information transferred remains subject to applicable privacy protections.

Children's Privacy

RideUpright is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Links and Third-Party Services

RideUpright may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.

Blur Boundary does not control the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

Your Choices

You control whether RideUpright has access to device capabilities such as Location Services, the camera, and the photo library through your device's privacy settings.

You may decline to use optional RideUpright features that require information to be transmitted from your device.

Where an optional feature requires sharing information, choosing not to share that information may prevent that particular feature from functioning, but will not result in the creation of a user account or require you to provide identifying information for normal use of RideUpright.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as RideUpright evolves.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

If a new RideUpright feature materially changes the types of information we collect or how information is used, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate and provide any additional notice or consent required for that feature.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
